Honoris Causa Award Nominations

Special recognition is given to outstanding members for continuous Alpha Delta Kappa work and service, thus inspiring and encouraging members to excel in leadership in Alpha Delta Kappa. The term Honoris Causa is defined as: “A token of respect and honor in recognition of distinctions or accomplishments.”  The Honoris Causa Award is the highest honor given in Florida Alpha Delta Kappa.

 

The Guidelines:

A Chapter or the state executive board may submit nominations for the Honoris Causa Award.  Nominations are to be kept confidential with only the recipient’s chapter president or state officer being notified of her selection.

 

Application Completion:

 The nomination form is available on the state website: flalphadeltakappa.org.  Also on the website is a copy of the rubric that the committee will use to assess each nomination.  The application may have areas you are not familiar with: i.e.: Did the applicant make a presentation, conduct, or assist in a project in the community or at an Alpha Delta Kappa function. Please ask others in confidence in your chapter, district, state for the answers in filling out the application. Make the application speak!

 

The application and letter of recommendation must be postmarked no later than 12/1/2023.

The Honoris Causa Awards will be presented at the banquet at the 2024 Florida State Convention. Please make every effort for your recipient to be present at the awards presentation.
